Rejects an application and optionally sends the candidate a rejection email.

Missing or invalid bearer token.

The public API is not enabled for this account (err_feature_not_enabled), the acting user is not allowed to manage this application, or the API key lacks the applications:reject scope (err_insufficient_scope).

404

Application not found (err_application_not_found).

422

Validation failed. Error codes:

• err_application_not_active — the application is already rejected, a duplicate, or was transferred
• err_application_linked_to_user — the acting user is the candidate on this application
• err_rejection_reason_not_found — rejection_reason_id is not a rejection reason in the account
• err_rejection_reason_inactive — the rejection reason is disabled
• err_rejection_reason_system — the rejection reason is reserved for automatic AI-score rejections
• err_email_template_not_found — email_template_id is not an email template in the account
• err_email_template_invalid_category — the email template is not a rejection template
• err_email_template_requires_survey — the email template contains a survey link, which this endpoint can't fill
• err_candidate_email_missing — the candidate has no email address
• err_sender_mailbox_not_connected — there is no connected mailbox to send the email from
• err_on_behalf_of_not_allowed — a personal access token passed another user's ID
• err_user_not_found — on_behalf_of is not an active user in the account
• err_on_behalf_of_forbidden — that user is not allowed to perform this action
• Field errors when send_email_at is not ISO 8601 or is in the past
